Happy New Year CenturyFamilies!
Hope you all had a great break and are enjoying 2010 so far. I can't believe that we are starting the second decade
of the 2000's.
This past fall we had
two successful fund-raisers, ZBest Coupon Book and See's Candy. Thanks to the leadership of Valerie Cederquist
and the Century students and families for their support, and all the
contributed. Our students really enjoyed our first Holiday
Gift Shop in December. Thanks to all the wonderful volunteers for times served and being
personal shopping guides to our students.
The PTC has
several events planned for spring. Jen and Dan O'Meara are heading up Movie Nights scheduled for Friday, March 12th
and Friday , March 19th. Patti Clark has been working on our Family
Restaurant Nights. One is scheduled on Thurs., Feb. 11th @ Wendy's
(Clovis & Shaw) and the one at Forestiere's Deli (Clovis Ave, Downtown) on Thurs., March 11th.
Of course don't forget our Snack Shacks.
Review
your sports calendar for home games. Michelle Lowe, Julie Lundholm and their crew of volunteers have done a great job
providing us with CUSD compliant snacks!
Carnival is on Friday May 7th. We are all hoping for clear skies and
no rain! We are looking for volunteers to help us pull off this big event.
This fund-raiser provides us with much of the revenue that supports our programs for our students
and teachers! Please let us know if you
are
interested in helping. Carnival Co-Chairs are, Valerie Cederquist (392-3648), Patti Clark (324-8103), Jacqui Glasener
(360-8463) and
Debbie Kemmer (298-7023).
Any one of these ladies would love to answer questions about this upcoming event and volunteer opportunities.
Finally,Thanks for coming to our membership meeting held on the first
Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the MPR. We value your input
and involvement. Remember, childcare is provided at these meetings.
